The Freeman slave.

Just like a slave

The freeman slave

Look into the eyes of the hungry man

What do you see?

Look into the eyes of the hopeless man

What do you see?

Look into the eyes of the helpless man

What do you see?

Look into the eyes of the jobless man

What do you see?

What about the eyes of the prisoner?

You have seen it all

Just like a slave

A freeman slave

Just like a slave

A freeman slave

What is the point of being free

When you have no job

What is the point of being free

When there is no food

What is the point of being free

When when there is no home

What is the point going out to work

When you can not provide

What is the point of being free

When you can walk freely

What is the point of fighting

When you have no strength

Just like a slave

A freeman slave

Just like a slave

A freeman slave

A slave that is hungry

A slave that can not speak freely

A slave that is intimidated

A slave that is being deprived

In a freeman town

Do not try to hide it

Because it is written all over your face

Yes! All over your face

Starvation is written there

Slavery is written there

Hunger is written there

Suffering is written there

Just like a slave

A freeman slave

In the freeman town

When we are scared

Who can talk?

When we are all intimidated

Who will talk?

When we are shunned

Who will fight?

When we are bullied

Who will resist?

When we are hungry

Who will provide?

When we are dying

Who will restore?

Living like a prisoner

In a freeman town

What a well fed slave indeed

A freeman slave

Inspired by the legend Lucky Dube in the track “Well Fed Slave- hungry Free Man.

Synonymous to the present hard state, economic recession and adversity that has befallen our great country, Nigeria.

Hopeless is now the music of the masses

Joblessness has become a free commodity

Feeding has become an opportunity

Insecurity has become a bonanza

People are dying of hunger everyday

God save Us

God save Nigeria
